I wonder if the people who work where US money is printed feel differently towards the dollar. We were talking about America's national debt yesterday during the drive from Orange County back to San Diego. Being trillions of dollars in debt just seems to cheapen the dollar overall. What does it even matter if you can just print more? I'm sure that's not how it works and that there are lots of very good rules about how it all happens, but it made me feel like the world's rules are just that: man-made, like paper airplanes.

I think the reason I like surprises is because you don't have to wait for them. They just arrive, without any anticipation or hope gnawing at your patience. Out of nowhere and without any loss of sleep, surprise!

So this is what it's come to, this squealing-laughing-trying to imagine what you being Mrs. will be. This is a long ways from ducky slippers and cross country, or twin day when you even twinned the Cape of Silence I had to wear that week. You've always been good at making me feel like I'm ok, even though I shoud know that anyways, and at telling me when I'm not, which I should also know on my own. But two are better than one, as you know now more than ever. And I couldn't be any happier for you: two, soon to be one.
